Department of Dentistry, Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College & Hospital in association with IDA Puducherry branch has been conducting a Live Webinar Series every Wednesday from 24th June 2020 through Google Meet. Speakers from Medical and Dental fraternities were invited from both inside and outside of our institution to share their wisdom of knowledge in various fields of Dentistry.

  • Department of Dentistry in association with Indian Dental Association conducted a Live Webinar Series #1 on 24th June 2020 from 10am to 11am through Google meet. The lecture on “ Writing Prescription in Dentistry – Back to Basics” was delivered by Dr. P. Sanjay, Professor & Head, Department of Dentistry, Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital.
  • Around 88 participants including dental undergraduates, postgraduates, faculties and General Practioners were actively attended the Live Webinar.

  • Department of Dentistry in association with Indian Dental Association organized Live Webinar Series #2 on 1st July 2020 from 11am to 12pm through Google meet. Our Guest Speaker Dr. R. Krishna Prabu, Professor, Department of Anesthesiology, Sri
    Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital, delivered his
    enlightening speech on “Medical emergencies at Dental
    Office – A step by step Approach”     Dr. P. Sanjay, Professor & Head, Department of Dentistry, Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital, was the Moderator of the Webinar.

  • Department of Dentistry in association with Indian Dental Association organized Live Webinar Series #4 on 15th July 2020 from 9.30am to 10.30am through Google meet. Our Guest speaker Dr. A. Umamageswari, Associate Professor ,Department of Radiodiagnosis,Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital,delivered her eminent lecture on “Reading CT & MRI of Maxillofacial Region Made Easy-An Expert’s Guidance”

Live Webinar Series #6
  • Department of Dentistry in association with Indian Dental Association organized Live Webinar Series #6 – “Head & Neck Without Brains- An Exquisite Dental Quiz Show” on 29th July 2020 from 10.30 am onwards through Google meet .Totally 47 teams registered for the Quiz Show and around 114 Participants including dental under graduates , post graduates ,Faculties & General Practioners from all over India were actively attended the Quiz show.
  • A preliminary round was conducted through Google forms for registered participants. Six teams were selected for the final round. Totally 9 rounds were conducted.
  • Dr. P.Sanjay M.D.S., DNB, MOMSRCPS(Glasgow),Professor & Head Department of Dentistry, conducted the Quiz Show.
  • 1st place was won by Dr. Ragav S Moorthy & Dr. B. Balachandran team – 1st year Postgraduates from Mahatma Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences, Puducherry. 2nd place was won by Dr. M. Surenthar & Dr. R.Vineeth team – 2nd year Post Graduates from Mahatma Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences, Puducherry.3rd place was won by Dr. Louis Solomon Simon (Senior Resident ) & Dr. U. Deepika ( Final year Post Graduate) team – SCB Government Dental College , Cuttack, Odisha.
